Ponting wants strict security cover

They flew to India to renew the cricketing rivalry despite the serial bomb blasts in the national capital and Australian skipper Ricky Ponting has made it clear that they want a foolproof security cover.

"With the state of the world and the state of some of the countries that we're playing in, it's vitally important that me as captain and all the players in this national team are kept in the loop as much as possible and as often as possible," he said on the Cricket Australia's website.

Ponting had earlier said that their refusal to the Pakistan tour was justified by the deadly attack on the Marriot Hotel in Islamabad.

Australia had also refused to play in the Champions Trophy due to security fears in Pakistan but agreed to tour India on the advice of Cricket Australia, which said the security concerns in the two sub-continent nations were different.

Australia will play a four-Test series, beginning with the first Test in Bangalore from October 9.

I dont think there will be any security lapses for aussies!!! Still talkings like security and other than sports matter should deal by boards only. He need not interfere in India''s internal matter.
