Sachin Tendulkar has pulled out of the Irani Cup tie against Ranji Trophy champions Delhi due to stiffness in his elbow but the maestro will be available for the Australia series, according to the board officials.

"Sachin will not be playing in the Irani Trophy on the advice of the physiotherapist of the India team so that he could give another week's rest. But he will be available for the Australia series," said Cricket Board secretary Niranjan Shah when queried on the issue.

Tamil Nadu's S Badrinath has replaced Sachin in the Rest of India team for the Irani Cup tie to be held at Vadodara later this month.

"Badrinath is to replace Tendulkar," Shah said.

Tendulkar suffered the elbow injury during the third and final Test against Sri Lanka at Colombo in August and has not played any competitive cricket since then.

He was selected to represent Rest of India to be led by Anil Kumble in the Irani tie, which is scheduled to held from September 24 to 28.

What is this ! Sometime Sachin is unavailbe due to injury, sometime is available. Does the Indian cricket team depend only on him. He has faired very badly in Sir Lankan. Forget about him, and give chance to youngester to develop a good future Indian team.

The mysterious ways of BCCI is not yet over. Sachin''s elbow condition couldn''t have deteriorated all that much between the days he got himself selected for the Rest of India (BCCI (selection committee) selecting him is all the same) and now. It is time the media put an end to this kind of a thing by going hammer and tongs against the people responsible for it.

It is time for him to exit cricket. Look in to last few years performence, he is not worth to be in the team and he is in because of what he was and not because of what he is. Please allow some young one to perform in his place.
