India opener Gautam Gambhir will miss 3rd Test against Sri Lanka due to his sister's wedding while rest of the team has been retained, according to a BCCI press release on Friday.

"Gautam Gambhir will not be available for the Test, on account of his sister's wedding on 3 December," he added.

The strength of the squad for the Mumbai Test, scheduled to begin on December 2, will thus be fourteen.

"The All-India Senior Selection Committee has retained the same side for the third Test of the ongoing series against Sri Lanka, to be played at Mumbai from 2 December 2009 to 6 December 2009," BCCI secretary N Srinivasan said in a statement.
