Buchanan takes potshots at Indian cricketers

Former Australian player and Kolkata Knight Riders coach John Buchanan has triggered another controversy by describing Sunil Gavaskar as 'one blinkered by bias and tradition' in his book released recently.

The book focuses primarily on Indian Premier League and T20 but seems it is more likely to draw attention for his criticism of some of Indian cricket's biggest stars.

Buchanan's controversial tenure with KKR in IPL 2 and now being associated with English cricket during the on-going Ashes has already made enough juicy headlines across the cricket fraternity and his latest piece is expected to just add on to that.

The book also describes Yuvraj Singh as a player who tries to be a modern-day Sourav Ganguly but doesn't have the class or charisma that the Bengal tiger has.

Harbhajan Singh is also on the Buchanan slamming list - the author says that the offie often dishes out treatment but then finds an appropriate means to camouflage his action.

Shoaib Akhtar, Sourav Ganguly and Shane Warne have all been swiped at in one shot. Shah Rukh Khan though has come in for praise - but now that Buchanan is no longer with KKR - those views may change!

Now a days it has become a good way of marketing the autobiography writen by the cricketers, by writing some comments on the cricketers they do not like. We have seen Sunil Gavaskar class batting and also his behaviour on and off the field . The same with other players too. If we praise these writers theywill praise us in their autobiography. If we express displeasure they will wright against us. First these australians should stop the ugly way of sledging on the field, which they claim i

It has become fashionable to all failed cricketers to take a pot shot at people who were very successful and talented. Buchanan, who did not even make it to the playing squad of Australia is left with no alternative to earn his living - as no one will employ him...and for that writing a book comes in handy. If the book has to sell, write some rubbish and people who are interested in all these scoops buy just for entertainment value, not for gaining any knowledge, which Buchanan hardly possesses
