This time they were no dark horses but the much-lauded favourites - the world champions in shining armour. But the Men in Blue, no Men in Dark Blue, if you like, have failed to live up to the expectations. They have meekly surrendered to the Black Caps in both the Twenty20 matches, the shortest version of the game that was once thought to be their forte!
So, has the new dark blue uniform darkened Team India's fortunes? Join the debate, have your say...

Vishant from Mohali: I think the new dress with that dark colour is the start of DARK INDIAN CRICKET. What do you say?
Sajid from Bahrain, says: According to me the current Indian Uniform is the worst thing which has happened to the Indian side. Let's not bring any superstition into this. The dark blue has prevented Indians from thinking clearly, which we can see on the field right now. Whether this is to suit the TV broadcasters liking or not, it's the most outrageous colour combination I have ever seen.
The orange highlight on the back over the blue are totally opposing colour elements. If there were a green underlayer below the orange it would have complemented it, as blue supports the green which in turn promotes the orange.
Even then I would recommend immediately to bring back the pale blue before the One-Day series starts, which would definitely promote clear thinking for the Indians as well as good fortune because luck is created, not a gift from God.
A rather cheeky one from N Sridhar: Good try the Indians in a low scoring match. I opine the team should have left for NZ a good one week earlier than they did, should have got acclimatised and got some practice. Hope they perform to their potential in the coming games. Cheer up, Men in Dark Blue!
