Officials meet on IPL-III organisation

Top officials of International Management Group (IMG), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) met to chart out the course for conduct of the third Indian Premier League, at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday

Besides, KSCA's honorary secretary Brijesh Patel, the parley was attended by Kathrine Simpson (operations head) and Max Headdy (venue manager) of IMG, Chief Operation Officer of UB Sports Fraser Castelinho and Poorna Patel, who is in charge of hospitality.

"It was just a preliminary meeting for hosting the IPL matches in Bangalore. It was more to do with hospitality," Patel told PTI.

Third edition of the cash-awash Twenty20 tournament is scheduled to be held from March 12 to April 25 next year and defending champions Deccan Chargers will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening encounter in Hyderabad.

D Y Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai will host the final, while both the semifinals will be played here.
